Basketball Coaching

Basketball

Basketball is delivered by a UKCC Level 2 and CRB checked coach, Natascha Wiese.

Each of the sessions will last an hour and will include:

· A peer nominated 'Player of the Week' trophy will be awarded each session to be taken home and displayed for the week, along with a certificate.

· A coach nominated weekly 'Sportsmanship Trophy' will be awarded each session to be taken home and displayed for the week along with a certificate.

· A 'Player of the Term' trophy - this is a trophy for the most improved player to keep, along with a certificate.

· We want to develop each child's skills and abilities using a variety of small sided games, large sided games, drills and fun activities.

· Every child will be included.

· Much of the development work will involve one ball per child to ensure maximum technique improvement.

· Children will train one week and play in internal leagues the next, across the term.

In order to maintain quality of coaching delivery the group will be limited to 20. Pupils are required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and to bring a water bottle.
